This one was a special one, you guys. Sarah and Wesley have grown close to my heart over the past year. We shot their engagement photos at Sarah’s dad’s lovely horse farm, where these two would tie the knot one year later. The farm is near and dear to Sarah’s heart, and it meant so much to them (and seemed so perfect) to host their wedding there.
Sarah’s 10 year old bulldog, George, was a huge part of their day. George was a part of Sarah getting ready, and then had his very own first look with Sarah after she saw her groom. He was such a special part of everything, even cleverly incorporated into their foil-pressed cocktail napkins, their canvas guest book painting, and a decoration on their wedding cake. :’-) The dog mom inside of me melts when I think about just how stinking SWEET it is that their dog was a part of their day in such small, special ways.
That evening, we sneaked out of the reception to chase the sunset on top of the hill in one of the horse pastures. The horses were very curious about Sarah and Welsey, and snuck up to goose Wesley’s behind a couple of times. Haha. Despite the horses being mega goofballs and trying to photobomb every photo, we still got some incredible sunset portraits of the two of them!
I’m so excited to share this September wedding with you all. I hope you enjoy it, and it makes you smile as much as it did me! :)
Xo,
Sarah
