Haley has always told me, for as long as I can remember, that she wanted all the bohemian vibes for her engagement session. And if you know me at all, I was immediately 100% on board from the get-go. We planned for part of the session in this magical little cove at the Kentucky Horse Park, then walked over to the water area for the rest of it. The sun was absolutely perfect for the evening and I loved how all of these turned out! Blake told me he wasn’t super excited about taking engagement photos, but once we got warmed up, I think he really started to enjoy loving on his lady and all! I’m a firm believer in having a fun engagement session as a “warm up lap” for the wedding photos. It makes it at least ten times more comfortable for the couple + the photographer they’re working with for the wedding. Everyone feels like the camera is a foreign object when the session starts out, but once we get rolling, it gets much more comfortable and fun. I even tell my couples to make a date night out of it and go out to eat or out for drinks after the session to keep the good vibes going! It’s such a fun thing to do with your lover before the big day.
