Ahhh, the Red River Gorge… It’s one of my favorite places to go hiking in Kentucky and makes for a gorgeous destination for weddings alike. Hemlock Springs is a beautiful wedding venues tucked away in the Red, and I was so excited to photograph Shelby and Noah’s beautiful Kentucky wedding here earlier this summer. This couple is one of the coolest, most down to earth couples out there. I got to shoot their engagement photos back in the fall and meet their sweet dog, Margo. (And you better believe I was stoked to find out that Margo would also be attending their wedding and serving as their flower girl. *sobs uncontrollably*)
This day was so sweet. It ended up raining up until during their ceremony, but with the help of Hemlock and this couple’s kick-ass coordinator, Ginna, the wedding party held umbrellas, and it ended up being really cute. Their guests stuck it out for this precious pair, who are so worth it. Shelby and Noah were absolutely chill the entire day, and didn’t let the rain cause any unnecessary stress. We shot some of their portraits right before, and then right after the main storm. I have just loved getting to know this sweet duo. They’ve been a true joy to get to know.
