This chilly, late-October wedding was everything I never knew I needed in front of my camera in 2020. The trees were starting to turn, the air was crisp, the house was decorated perfectly, and the colors were just spectacular. I think I said it many times that day, but I think Mary Elizabeth and Josh picked the most perfect day to get married.
Mary Elizabeth grew up in this neighborhood, so it was only appropriate that she held her and Josh’s wedding here. Throughout the day, she shared bits and pieces about herself and memories held at the Bell House as a child. It was a very sentimental day, as she got ready in her best friend’s mom’s house just down the street from the Bell House, wore some of her late mother’s jewelry, and the setting of it all. She and her girl gang walked over from the getting ready location, giggling, and taking in the day. Mary Elizabeth and Josh had a moment to see each other before the ceremony, and it was so cute! Josh could not stop gushing and smiling at his bride.
Mary’s dad drove her up the driveway in the cutest, yellow, old car. He walked her up the steps to meet Josh and the two of them got married surrounded (safely) by their closest friends and families. After the ceremony, Josh and Mary Elizabeth took a walk with their pup around the Bell House, sharing cheers and toasts, and saying hello to everyone. I followed behind them in the cute, yellow car to their house, and we made a quick stop at Sonic for tots and soda on the way. Then, they hosted some friends at their house for a small backyard celebration - complete with cake, champagne, and alllll the laughter. It was so nice to see a COVID-friendly celebration that was so unique and fun!
Xo,
Sarah
