Let’s go back to my high school marching band days real quick. We’re running through sets of the routine, perfecting the steps and music as we go. Kristen is spinning a flag in the colorguard and Evan is marching in the drumline, and this just about sums up the beginning of their relationship. They’re high school sweethearts, and are still just the cutest duo. When Kristen reached out to me about photographing their wedding, I instantly got excited. She and Evan are planning to get married at a gorgeous, modern venue in Louisville, and I’m super pumped about celebrating their day with them! I think the advantage to knowing your wedding photographer beforehand is that I’m basically just a friend at your wedding with a really great camera — and I just really love that.
For their engagement session, we met up for coffee at Third Street Coffee downtown, walked over to Doodle to start things off in front of their cute storefront. I love brunch food, so it was super appropriate. :) After that, we walked down to the newly renovated Lexington courthouse and then hit up the ever-popular parking structure that so eloquently captures the downtown Lexington vibes.
November will be here before we know it!

Sarah
