Between returning from my Colorado trip for an elopement and before the pandemic craziness in the U.S. really started, I had the chance to meet these cuties for an engagement session in Louisville. Natives of Alabama, Rachel and Ryan are loving starting their life together in Kentucky. We chatted about their love for Auburn football, adjusting to Kentucky life, their favorite food spots, and allllllll the plans for the wedding. They showed me some of their favorite spots in their neighborhood, including some cool murals and Logan Street Market. Then we headed over the Kentucky/Indiana border to the Falls of the Ohio park to finish out the rest of the session at golden hour. They showed me some new, fun spots in Louisville that I wouldn’t have experienced if it weren’t for them! <3
Since their session, lots has changed. The world as we know it, the normalcy, the regularity and familiarity of life has drastically shifted. It hasn’t been easy for anyone. I know there is so much heartache and loneliness and uncertainty in the world, but I’m trying my best to remain soft, calm, and certain of myself. I miss working and I miss people. Please, please, please continue to stay home. We want to prevent the spread of illness and help flatten the curve as much as possible. I know many healthcare workers both as close friends and family, and I think about and pray for them everyday - many times per day. You may feel hopeless sitting in your house all day, but I can assure you that you’re literally saving lives.
I’m here for you. I love you.
Xo,
Sarah
